UPK Services
Charter transports
When your shipment is really urgent, we offer you charter services. If we receive your booking during the normal working hours we guarantee, that our equipment takes off within an hour at the terminal locations. Outside office hours we guarantee the take-off within two hours. On all of our terminal locations there are also local express delivery services available.
Value-added services for air freight forwarding
If required we can pick up your air freight shipments directly from the flight operator. We check the quantity of the parcels according to the information received from you. We also check the addresses and package labeling and create new consignments for the domestic delivery as per consignee. If we detect some inaccuracy or damage on the shipment we will report it to you according to a mutually agreed procedure.
UPK Express
We provide accurately scheduled UPK Express Services throughout the whole country. The main routes take off from the Helsinki-Vantaa Airport every night at midnight from Monday to Friday. If necessary, the distribution can be executed by e.g. 7 am in the morning. The shipments to Northern Finland are delivered to Oulu by flight taking off at midnight. This way the shipments to Oulu, Rovaniemi and Kajaani will arrive at our pick-up warehouses by 8 am.
The UPK Express Services are always tailored to suit every customer’s individual needs. The shipment is delivered to a consignee via the fastest route and the driver is also able to do a possible installing, if necessary. We e.g. deliver spare parts to the location required by the installation staff, even directly to the mechanician’s car, if needed.
By late pick-up and main route timetables we ensure the competitiveness and service level of our customers in the demanding market situation.
Pick-up and Mini Warehouses
We operate 12 Pick-up Warehouses and 9 Mini Warehouses in different parts of Finland. In Pick-up Warehouses the clients can bring or call for the goods themselves. The customer service is open from 8 am until 5 pm. In Mini Warehouses we offer warehousing services to our clients’ small inventories and they are operated on 24/7/365 basis.
Deliveries for Healthcare
In healthcare deliveries we are the market leader in Finland. Both our own equipment as well as that of our co-operation partners is equipped with temperature controlled cargo spaces. In spite of weather conditions the deliveries will be executed in stipulated temperature from the shipper to the consignee within the range of +5 to +25 degrees Celsius.
The real time location system for the whole fleet as well as the continuously reporting temperature control system help our staff to execute the deliveries safe and sound. Security in its most comprehensive meaning is a key issue every time we train our personnel.
All healthcare deliveries are executed in accordance with the transportation and security instructions of wholesalers and the GDP instructions given by the authorities.
